One family, one philosophy
Within the Orefice team we share a simple business ethic and philosophy: devote our talent and apply our technology to create products and services that improve the markets we serve and the wider community.
Over the years we have adopted working methods aimed at continuously improving our products and services. Our production system enables us to deliver quality products while keeping a strong focus on the quality of the working environment.

Since 2008 we have forged new partnerships and advanced multiple projects: opening new markets and opportunities, and innovating in acoustic attenuation for generator sets. Every day our people bring this philosophy to life.

Our history
We proudly carry forward a long family tradition in electromechanics dating back to the 1930s.
- 1930s
In Cagliari, Natale Orefice begins his electromechanical career at Società Elettrica Sarda and soon after founds the sole proprietorship “Elettromeccanica Orefice Natale”.
- Post-war years
Despite the scars of war, Natale Orefice sees in the post-war era new opportunities and the potential of electromechanics applied to power generation.
- 1960s
In just a few years, a small workshop becomes a major player: the company establishes itself as Sardinia’s leading electromechanical provider.
- Late 1980s
The generational handover coincides with the birth of “Orefice Elettromeccanica”, specializing in electric machine service and the manufacture of generator sets for special applications.
- 1990s
Orefice Gruppi Elettrogeni is founded, focused on service, rental, and production of special generator sets.
- 2003
Construction begins on a new operating headquarters with sales and engineering offices and a well-stocked warehouse for raw materials and spare parts.
- Since 2008
New partnerships and projects accelerate entry into new markets and innovation in acoustic attenuation for generator sets.
- Today
Orefice Generators is a well-known and respected brand in Italy and internationally, with a continually expanding sales network.

From construction to telecoms, from hospitals to manufacturing, over time we’ve built valuable know-how alongside our customers. Today we are a dependable, experienced partner for anyone needing supplementary or emergency power.
Our plant is in Sardinia, a few kilometres from the industrial port of Cagliari, at the crossroads of Mediterranean trade routes from Suez to Gibraltar. There we manufacture generator sets from 2 to 3000 kVA in open, sound-attenuated, trailer-mounted, automatic, or fully custom configurations.
Our products are successfully operating in a growing number of countries across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Each day the market presents new challenges, which we meet with what has always set us apart: Italian quality, advanced technology, and service excellence.
